Mia Gabrielle Fontana - 2021

May 2021 family and relatives experienced a great loss when Mia Gabrielle Fontana died at Grove School. While a lawsuit has been filed into what is the third known death at Grove School, the question remains how such a tragedy could occur in the first place.

Which signs were overlooked? Did Grove School accept a student they were not suited to handle?

These questions might never been answered because the industry in general do not care. So the process of filing a lawsuit is important because it forces the school to look at their procedures. Such tragedies should be prevented. That Mia Grielle Fontana was only allowed 15 years in this life is simply wrong.

May she find peace where she is now.

Laura Hanson - 1998

The 17 year old Laura Hanson choked to her death.

After Hanson got into a fight with her roommate, two employees at a West Palm Beach mental health center entered her room and placed her in a hold. Within 10 minutes, she was limp and unconscious. That evening, she was dead.

Her deaths was one of two deaths at the same center.

It remains unclear based on the articles whether some were held responsible for her death. Restraints back in the late 1999's claimed the lives of many teenagers. All she suffered from was Schizophrenia and it became a deadly illness due to poor instructions, lack of oversight and legislation. It was a real tragedy.

May she find peace where she is now.

Brendon Ogonowski - 2005

18 year old Brendon Ogonowski died from a fatal fall from the roof of one of the dorms. What led him to enter the roof is not known.

However a recent police investigation has led many to believe that something was hidden at the campus which could explain his presence at the roof.

May he rest in peace.

Peter A. Cooper - 1979

Back in 1979 a fire raided a boarding school up in Connecticut. The old wooden buildings which were properly from 1934 burned quickly and not all students made it out. Some were caught on the second-floor near a window and two of the students - Peter Cooper and Jonathan S. Lenoff - died while a third student suffered terrible burns.

A small memorial plate was set up so the death students could be remembered. For some reason it disappeared sometime after year 2000.

Of course something can be blamed on the building code which allowed a level of safety which turned out to be deadly but regardless of the reason for their death they should not be forgotten.

They lost their lives before they could outlive the potential they were sent to the school to find. Please restore the memorial!
