12-year-old Timmy Montoya-Kloepfel was hit by a vehicle when he tried to escape from the Tennyson Center for Children in Denver. As his conditions worsened his mother made the painful decision to send him to a place where there were supposed to be round-the-clock supervision until he could get better. The supervision proved to insufficient and provided him the possibility to escape resulting in his death of a random driver who had no chance to avoid the terrible collision.
How the treatment center was allowed to operate and fail families remains unanswered.
May he find peace where he is now.
